One of the most remarkable things about living through a pandemic is seeing God’s faithfulness and provision during the worst of times. One obvious example of this is the music ministry that came out of the pandemic. Even before we knew we needed it, God went before us and already had Adam Perez in a position where he could jump in and provide music while we were in lockdown. If you go back to the first online services, it’s amazing how far we have come. But even more amazing than that is how blessed we are now with such a vibrant and rich music ministry. It is in recognition of what God has done that the congregation voted to officially call a Director of Parish Music and Parish Administration.
Another obvious example of where God went before us can be found in Austin Angerman. One of the hardest hit demographics in the church at large right now is parents and youth. Youth especially formed new patterns and habits and are now missing in action. God again was well ahead of us. Austin went into creative mode and dreamed up all kind of new ways to get the youth to stay engaged and come back to church. But even more amazing that, at the completion of the Show Faith Works outreach plan it was obvious that he was the perfect individual to lead that effort. It is in recognition of what God has done that the congregation voted to officially call a Director of Christian Outreach and Youth Ministry.
While Adam and Austin are presently serving in these positions, in order to make them official called positions (per synodical guidelines) we have formed a Call Committee to interview potential candidates. If you would like to submit a name to be considered (yes, you may submit Adam’s and/or Austin’s names), please fill out the following forms.
