HEARTFELT STITCHERS FUNDRAISER |
Complete your Christmas shopping early! Mark your calendar for October 3rd for the long-awaited fundraiser for the Heartfelt Stitchers. Hand-crafted items: blankets, hats, scarves, etc. All proceeds go to buy materials to continue to minister to others with handmade blankets, hats, and scarves. Here’s a preview of an item in our silent auction. So adorable and probably took a year to make!
Many people, young and old, sick and well, have felt the loving touch of a handmade blanket, hat or scarf made by the Heartfelt Stitchers. We continue to contribute items to the Veteran’s home, DELL NICU, Wesleyan Hospice, the sick and homebound at Faith, those baptized at Faith, and Williamson Country Victims Assistance Program.

September is my birth month. I thank God for my life and for the many gifts (blessings) I’ve been given. This is the story of a very special gift. I wrote it in response to an assignment from StoryWorth, a gift from my granddaughter, Sally. I share it with you and invite you to join me in celebrating my birthday. Come with me to Africa to meet my friends the elephants. CLICK HERE to continue reading.

LIFE THOUGHTS from Lutherans for Life |
September 26 – Pentecost XVIII (Proper 21B) – Decisions about manner and timing of death —either our own or anyone else’s—are difficult and dangerous. We cannot anticipate all its effects and consequences. Our Lord relieves us from playing God by reserving for Himself the right to determine how human beings live and when we die (Psalm 104:29-30). And He assures us that we may flee the likes of abortion and assisted suicide by taking refuge in His kingdom of forgiveness and faith (Mark 9:43-47).
TRUNKS of TREATS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 30TH, 1-4 INFORMATION COMING SOON! WE WILL NEED LOTS OF DECORATED TRUNKS! |
LAY READERS NEEDED FOR 2022 |
What Is A Lay Reader? A lay reader is a person who reads the scripture lessons during our worship services. Public scripture reading is an important ministry as the reader becomes a vehicle for sharing God’s word with the congregation.
Who Can Be A Lay Reader? Members of Faith who have the gift and commitment to read. This is a very practical way to invite people to become more involved with our church.
A schedule for the 2022 lay readers will be published before the end of this year. You will receive a copy of the worship guide from the church office a few days before your scheduled date, so you can prepare and review the scripture reading.
